Each December, Legacy Ballet hosts our community a full-length production of

“THE NUTCRACKER”.

NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS 2024

All local dancers ages 6 and up are invited to audition and participate in Legacy Ballet’s annual production of “The Nutcracker”.

Auditions will be held Saturday September 14th, 2024 at Legacy Ballet, 104 Main St SE, Albany, OR 97321

Audition Times:

1:00pm – 1:45pm Ages 6-8 years old

2:00pm – 2:45pm Ages 9-11 years old

3:00pm – 4:00pm Ages 11 and older (off pointe)

4:00pm – 5:00pm Ages 11 and older (on pointe)

5:00pm – 5:45pm 18+ (off pointe)

Tech, Dress rehearsal and Show week: December 2^nd through December 8^th.

NUTCRACKER 2024 REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Please note attendance to rehearsals is vital to having a wonderful, smooth performance.  Please be aware only ONE rehearsal can be missed, besides Thanksgiving weekend.  If more than ONE rehearsal is missed, you could potentially lose your role in the Nutcracker.  We have limited rehearsals for each scene to prepare, so let’s make them count!

Rehearsals to be held at Legacy Ballet, 104 Main St. SE, Albany, OR 97321

All Rehearsals begin the week of September 16th, 2024.

PARTY SCENE: Saturdays 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Clara, Party Girls, Party Boys, Party Parents, Drosselmeyer, Servants

Last Saturday rehearsal Nov. 23^rd add the Nutcracker Doll, Mouse Doll and Ballerina Doll

FIGHT SCENE:  Saturdays 2:00pm – 2:45pm

Mice, Toy Soldiers, Mouse King, Nutcracker, Presents, Clara

BON BONS: Saturdays 2:45pm – 3:15pm

Bon Bons and Mother Ginger

LAND OF THE SWEETS SCENE: Saturdays 3:15pm – 4:00pm

Angels, Dainty Treats and Royal Candy Court

SNOW FOREST SCENE, WALTZ OF THE FLOWERS and VARIATIONS: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00pm – 9:00pm (a more detailed schedule will be released with cast list)

Snow Queen(s), Snow Princesses, Snowflakes, Dewdrop, Flowers and Petoiles, Nutcracker Doll, Mouse Doll, Ballerina Doll, Chocolate, Coffee, Tea, Peppermint, Marzipan (Variations also needed at last Saturday Land of Sweets Reh. Nov. 23rd) Tentatively, Snow will be Monday nights, Variations Tuesdays and Waltz Wednesday nights.

TECH/DRESS REHEARSALS and PERFORMANCES:

All Tech/Dress Rehearsals are MANDATORY (this is a tentative schedule; a Tech/Show Week schedule will be handed out in October after Theater confirmation)

Monday December 2nd- Sunday December 8th.
